Foot Pain Treatment in Singapore

Your feet carry the weight of your whole body. When they hurt, it affects every step you take. Whether it is your heel, arch, or the ball of your foot, you deserve care that looks at the full picture. At Calyx, we provide physiotherapy tailored to women so you can walk, move, and live with confidence again.

What Is Foot Pain Treatment?

At Calyx, we do not just treat the foot. We assess how your whole body moves. Pain often starts with how your body loads and absorbs impact. We look at posture, movement patterns, walking mechanics and strength to understand why the foot is under stress. Whether you have plantar fascia inflammation, stress in the metatarsals, or instability from flat arches, we combine hands-on manual therapy with guided rehabilitation and education on lifestyle and habits.

Is This Safe for Me?

Yes. Treatments are gentle, effective, and adapted to your needs. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, postmenopausal, or managing a longer term condition, we plan your care with safety and respect.

Who Should Consider Foot Pain Treatment?

If foot or ankle pain affects your daily routine, it is time to seek support. Early care can prevent longer term issues and help you regain ease and confidence in your movement.

  • Do I Need a Referral?

No referral is needed. You can book directly with us online or over the phone. If required, we’ll liaise with your GP or specialist.

  • Is it still worth getting treatment if the leaking is mild?

Yes. Foot pain can arise during pregnancy or long after birth due to hormonal shifts, weight changes, or postural adjustments. We adapt your care to support your body at any stage.

Symptoms and Signs You May Benefit from Foot Pain Treatment

Common signs include:

  • Flat Feet (Fallen Arches)
  • Foot Sprain
  • Heel Pain (e.g. Plantar Fasciitis)
  • Ball of Foot Pain (Metatarsalgia)

These symptoms may be linked to pelvic floor dysfunction, reduced bladder control or changes in bladder function during pregnancy.

What Happens During Your Session

We begin with a detailed intake to understand your history, goals, and symptoms. Each session is tailored and focused on education, assessment, and gentle guided treatment.

  • Will There Be an Internal Assessment?

No. Foot pain treatment does not involve internal pelvic assessment. Your session will focus on external musculoskeletal evaluation and functional movement testing.

  • Do I Need to Prepare or Bring Anything?

Please wear comfortable clothes and bring along any footwear you commonly use, such as work shoes, sandals or sports trainers. This helps us analyse your walking and standing mechanics more accurately.

  • What Happens After the Session?

You’ll receive a tailored home plan that may include foot and whole body strengthening, balance exercises, footwear advice, and gentle self-release techniques.

Techniques and Tools We May Use

  • Soft tissue or myofascial release
  • Joint mobilisation
  • Balance retraining
  • Resistance and loading exercises
  • Taping or support tools
  • Therapeutic ultrasound
  • Is It Painful or Uncomfortable?

Treatment techniques are designed to be comfortable and effective. Some manual releases may feel mildly sore, but we always work within your tolerance level.

  • How We Ensure Safety in Each Method

We follow evidence-based guidelines and adjust treatment based on your feedback. Each movement or technique is explained clearly so you feel informed and in control. Should there be any concerns or risks of more serious issues, our team will refer you to the most appropriate medical and/or imaging specialists for further evaluation.

Your Progress and Results Over Time

  • How Soon Will I See Improvement?

Most patients report noticeable relief within 3–5 sessions, especially with consistent home exercises. Results vary based on the root cause and adherence to the programme.

  • How Often Will I Need Sessions?

Typically, once per week for the first few weeks, then tapering as progress stabilises. We adjust based on your condition and recovery.

  • Will I Need Maintenance Visits?

After recovery, our goal is for you to manage your ankle health independently. We’re here whenever you need support. For women who are pain-free, we offer preventive care through one-to-one sessions or our Recalibrate By Calyx programme to optimise posture, movement, and strength. These visits are designed to prevent setbacks and support long-term mobility and function.

  • What Do I Need to Do at Home?

Doing the prescribed home exercises for strength and mobility is important for sustainable improvements. You will also be equipped with knowledge on self-management techniques such as using ice or heat for inflammation and pain as well as to modify footwear or movement habits as needed.

CHLOE NG
Co-founder, Senior Physiotherapist

Chloe is a dedicated women’s health physiotherapist whose personal and professional journey has shaped her compassionate approach to care. Early in her career, she noticed that many women’s health concerns, including incontinence, painful intercourse and fertility challenges, were often dismissed or left unspoken. This sparked her commitment to specialise in pelvic health and provide women with the support they deserve.

She pursued training in pelvic health assessment and management, and integrates Polestar Pilates principles into her practice to restore functional movement, postural alignment, and overall wellbeing.

Her personal decision to go through two unmedicated births reinforced her belief in the power of education, preparation, and informed support during pregnancy and beyond.
